    Shell Cordovan
    Full Wing-Tip Oxford Beogue

    Circa 1950
    Euro 440

For those who prefer the rather more stream-lined look of an oxford over the more common derby lacing, these excellent shell cordovans, with their robust double soles, cleted heels and double-sided grommet-reinforced lacing, fit the bill perfectly.  Made at the peak of American shoemaking in the mid-20th century by the great Stetson firm, these cordovans will continue to become more beautiful with the passage of time. It is said -and rightly so- that the only thing better than new cordovan is old cordovan. This pair certainly proves the point with it’s rich patina.
This is truly a vintage shoe as evidenced by the canvas lining of the front (shown in a close-up).
