    The Frye Company was founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a shoemaker from England. Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers for both sides of America’s Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-America war, and for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. In the late 1800’s, many pioneering New England families wore Frye boots as they crossed the country to the West.

    This is quintessential Field Boot by one of America’s oldest traditional boot makers. With double sole, 360 degree Split Reverse Welt (Storm Welt), stacked leather heels with non-slip textured rubber corners, plus, now, new, unworn non-slip rubber “Topy Soles added, this is footwear siitable on or off road, town or country, handsome under tweeds or jeans.

    US 10D, for the mid-width foot. UK 9E…..Continental 43-42.5D

    Shoe Condition:

    Bottoms excellent, tops showing a suitable amount of wear for a real boot. Waiting for a coat of polish by the new owner.
