This elegant single-sole Florsheim Oxford stands in contrast to Florsheim’s much heavier Budapesters (Derbys). The overall appearance is more delicate and rather sleeker. My old clients have grown weary of hearing me extol the virtues of the vintage Florsheim Imperial Budapesters. This shoe is not to be compared to Florsheim’s ironclad Budapesters, nevertheless, it is a handsome business or daytime shoe in a rich, deep, highly polished brown Calfskin, quite similar in style although superior in build to Allen Edmond’s “McAllister” and one of the earlier, canvas lined incarnations of Florsheim’s Full Brogue Oxford,  A beautiful traditional model, very useful and a basic in the wardrobe. The long line of the 6-eyelet Vamp flatters and slims the foot. In short, both a practical and a representative shoe for the gentleman and nicely finished. Built over a steel shank and Goodyear welted, of course.

Für diejenigen, die das schmeichelhaftere Oxford lacing (Schnür-Art) dem Derby-Stil vorziehen, präsentiert dieser “Full Brogue Oxford” eine etwas elegantere Silhouette als der vergleichsweise wesentlich schwerere, doppelt-sohlige Budapester von Florsheim. Rahmengenäht, in Kombination mit Leder-Sohle und Gummi-Absatz. Ein wunderschönes traditionelles Modell, äusserst nützlich und unbedingt ein “Basic” in Ihrer Garderobe. Ein sowohl praktischer als auch repräsentativer Schuh für einen Gentleman.
