Weyenberg exist today as a marketing firm, but was once, in the hayday of American shoemaking in the early and mid centiury, one of the great producers of stylish mens shoes. But it is not style alone that distinguishes this shoe. Kangaroo leather is strong, lightweight, resilient and, for being both soft and porous (“breathable”), immensely comfortable. It is particularly easy to care for, requiring polishing less often and retaining it lustre far longer than calfskin. This is a fastidiously made shoe, featuring the highly collectable Spade Sole and certainly far superior in construction to today’s ready-mades of all but a handful of the best shoemaker in the world. But more important, this is a glamourous and authentic representative of that greatest era in American shoemaking, the period between the wars. All in all, a dramatic and evocative pair of shoes, beautifully made, and trailing clouds of history.
Size: US 10EE.…..UK 9H…..European 43-43.5EE, for the wide foot. If you have been buying oversized shoes to get the width you neeed, here is the correct solution to that problem; the right size and the right width.

Der Derby scheint mit einem Leisten gemacht zu sein, der für den amerikanischen Fuss passender und robuster ist. Letztendlich eine gute “Heirat” zwischen Form und Qualität.
