This Johnston & Murphy’s version of this classic shoe dates from the 1990s and is from what they like to call the “Limited Collection”. What exactly is “limited” they do not deign to say. As least it is not the quality that is limited; these are well made shoes and by today’s standards, 20 or more years later, extremely well made. The foot bed is unusually well padded and promises to be most comfortable. Do not compare this to J.&M.’s current production; this is a superior shoe from the last period of the firm’s proud history.

The model is very appropriate in black to business, formal daytime or even less formal evening dress, an impressive model that shall never fails to draw compliments.
