    There are only two American shoemakers that can produce a shoe of this quality in any numbers and they are Alden and Allen Edmonds; we can rightly suppose that this shoe was commissioned by Polo from one of these. It is almost a duplicate of the Crockett & Jones model made for Polo. In any case, an extremely robust construction and a leather that begs for repeated polishing and the development of a warm patina.
