This elegant single-sole Florsheim Oxford Full-Brogue stands in contrast to Florsheim’s much heavier Budapesters (Derbys). The overall appearance is more delicate and rather sleeker. My old clients have grown weary of hearing me extol the virtues of the vintage Florsheim Imperial Budapesters. This shoe is not to be compared to Florsheim’s ironclad Budapesters, nevertheless, it is a handsome business or daytime shoe in a rich, deep, highly polished burgundy Calfskin, quite similar in style although superior in build to Allen Edmond’s “McAllister” and one of the last incarnations of Florsheim’s very popular Full Brogue Oxford before the company closed it American production in the mid-1980s. A beautiful traditional model, very useful and a basic in the wardrobe. Both a practical and a representative shoe for the gentleman and nicely finished. Goodyear welted and the long line of the wing tip and the 6th eyelet flatter and slim the foot.
