The Cossett Shoe

Euro 850Quality shoemakers since 1875 producing among the finest -many hand made- products of the pre-war period. This shoe, while not made to order, boast handwork on a level with the best bespoke of today and yesterday, a testament to the skill of this artisan and a compelling example of traditional shoemaking at its very finest. A bench-made shoe, with oak-tanned sole, and the sort of astonishingly durable contemporary B. F. Goodrich hard rubber heel that has not been made for half a century, the overall effect of this masterpiece is one of extraordinary beauty without the slightest degree of ostentation. The 1000-plus Euro ready-mades of Lobb and Green and Weston do not compare to this shoe. Although from the 1930s, this harkens to 19th century hand craftsmanship, pre-Goodyear Welting. The overall appearance of this shoe is one of ultimate elegance. This is the last word for the collector or well dressed gentleman who’s has the good fortune to be this size.
Size Details:
US 10D......UK 9E.......Continental 43-43.5D, for the medium width foot.
Shoe Condition:
NEW and unworn. Although almost 90 years old, these shoes show no effects of age, hardly even the typical scuffing of the sole from storage.
