    I think we can safely say that this marvelous vintage shoe by the long premier Golf shoemaker in the world, Footjoy, is among the last of its kind. Footjoy’s American workrooms are no more. Neither this or any of the other special order are to be had, not this nor their stunning lizard golf or street shoes (at $1500 the pair). As with all Goodyear welted soles, they can easily be exchanged if ever you are able to wear it out, a doubtful eventuality. The build quality of Footjoy special order shoes is on a level comparable to the very best ready-mades in the world and the leathers used by Footjoy are equaled by very few.

    What is further remarkable about this shoe and the other rubber-soled FootJoys, originally intended as golf trainers, is that they are, arguably, the most comfortable shoes you can obtain. Perhaps because they are engineered to support long periods of standing and walking, they have particularly soft inner soles which, combined with the medium profile rubber sole, provide a footfall that rivals any sneaker or Turnschuhe. If you are long on your feet -and this is all the more so for a big man or heavy man- few shoes can compete for this one, for comfort or durability, on or off road.

Wie alle rahmengenähten Sohlen -Goodyear welted- können sie -sollten sie tatsächlich abgetragen werden- leicht ausgetauscht werden. Die Qualität der Fertigung bei Footjoy Anfertigungen ist auf einer Ebene mit den weltweit besten Konfektions-Schuhen anzusiedeln und die Qualität der verwendeten Leder ist unvergleichlich.
