Brooks Brothers had marketed several different makers shoes under the “Brooks English” and Peal & Co. names from the 1950’s onward. The present pair is one of the finer variations and made to a high standard; notice the closed channel Goodyear welt, reminiscent of the bespoke shoes and the very best ready-mades. The leather chosen for this shoe is of such a high quality as to be easily confused with black cordovan.
