George Cleverley apprenticed under the great Nikolaus Tuczek who’s stylistic influence can be seen clearly in the present pair of Loafers and in the work of many great shoemakers including Lobb who names more than one style after the master. From the late 70s to his death in 1991 the great George Cleverley worked as a design consultant for New & Lingwood. See their websitewww.newandlingwood.com

This pair is made off-shore and is Blake Stitched, nevertheless perfectly fine in build and leather quality, and a remarkably accurate quotation of the Cleverley designed original. This identical model is also available from Edward Green, Crockett & Jones, Poulson Skone, and by such bespoke shoemakers as Maftei in Vienna and Vogel in New York, all of these, of course, at prices many multiples of the price shown here.

Excellent, "neuwertig", showing only the first scuffing consistent with, perhaps one wearing to try on, othewise new. In original carton. Sold without trees.. Some of the photos appear over-exposed; the darker photos are the more accurate. These are a medium brown.
