With the instep moulded over a steel shank, the Goodyear welted leather sole protected by one of the two finest all-weather soles on the market today, the British-made Danite sole, this shoe competes with any English, American or other Continental product in build quality. Meanwhile Carmina has affected the characteristic taller Budapester toe, the traditional style of the Austrian-German-Hungarian axis of cordwainers, affording this supremely handsome shoe the robust silhouette appropriate to an all-weather shoe.
