    Classic 2-Strap Jodhpur Boot

The Frye Company was founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a shoemaker from England. Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers for both sides of America’s Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-America war, and for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. In the late 1800’s, many pioneering New England families wore Frye boots as they crossed the country to the West.

Frye’s version of the classic jodhpur, made for them in Italy, feathure a nailed instep, combination non-slip heel and is beautifully lined in tan glove leather. Please notice the closed channel goodyear welted sole, not often encountered in a ready-made boot or shoe. This lovely pair in saturated black boxcalf of extraordinay softness is as handsome under dress trousers as it is supportive and durable off-road or on horseback.
