    Circa 1970
    Euro 440

The Roper boot is similar to other field (or navy) boots but for the canted heel that allow quick mounting and dismounting when working cattle. It is an excellent walking boot, affording superior traction off road and both excellent support and comfort on pavement. This fine example of the type by the well respected American maker, J. Chisholm, employs two colors of full grain calf; burgundy vamp and heel cap with a brown shank above, a little color for what is otherwise an extremely robust boot.
The boots are shown here with two different types of lacing, modern woven boot straps and traditional rawhide laces. You will get both pairs to allow you to decide which suits you use best.
A final word; such is their robust construction that these boots put most other boots to shame; you will never need another pair, whether in town or trekking in the Himalayas.
