    Vintage Hand-Made, Western, ACCORDION Boot

    Euro 1850

This is a obviously one-of-a-kind. It is entirely hand-made, hand-sewn (including the welt) and a true, very rare Accordion Boot. The maker is unknown to me but this boot has been in my possession since 1975 when it was offered to me as part of a larger collection of boots and shoes, remnants of the dressing rooms of the Ryman Auditorium soon after its closure. No doubt it had been worn on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry and left behind for the soles being rather worn. That has been been corrected now with new Topy full soles and non-slip Vibram heels (neither worn since being replaced).

These treasures could easily date back to the 1950s or even earlier, considering the workmanship and the styling, neither of which is encountered today. This is a museum piece, a wearable antique, trailing clouds of Western music history. For the passionate collector.

    Size Details:

As expected, unmarked as to size but by careful measurements using shoemaker's lasts, it is seen to be a generous US 8D.....UK 7E......Continental 41D, for the medium width foot.

    Shoe Condition:

Condition: Exceptional for its age. Some small imperfections consistent with its history of use, nevertheless still entirely serviceable. Shown here unpolished.
