Dark Brown Museum Calf over Suede
Oxford Brogue Spectator
“Greenwood”Justin Fitzpatrick apprenticed with the late, great bespoke shoemaker, Stefano Bemer then moved on to creating a blog, The Shoe Snob, more autobiography and advertising than shoe lore, in spite of his declaring himself “The World’s Foremost Authority on Fine Footwear”. All the votes are not in on that remarkable pronouncement but the line of shoes he has now designed and is having produced by an unnamed Italian jobber, is undeniably artful and substantially made. While some of his designs are quite traditional, others are unique to him, as, for example, the present spectator, a lovely dark brown museum calfskin over brown suede brogue with medallion toe, with a foot-flattering elongated toe. This is a “made to order” shoe, requiring 4-plus months from order to delivery and costs 520 plus a variety of custom extras plus local taxes. Typically, the delivered cost reaches about 700.
