The Cap-Toe Oxford show here, a classic model, has been an Edward Green staple for many years. It has been found under Green’s own label, as shown here,  and, at various times, under the labels of several other prominent British and American retailers.

This model is a basic of the gentleman’s wardrobe and the present example by this venerable bespoke shoemaker is one of the loveliest to be had and in a long tradition. The heel is of the dove-tailed McAfee type and the Scotch Grain Calfskin (see close-up) is of the highest quality full thickness calf. Simply stated, a finely made shoe, as well as being tremendously handsome.

This lovely pair is executed in tan to light brown calf. The replacement soles and heels show very modest wear. All in all, a modestly worn shoe with long life ahead of it. Sold without trees but ask if you require a properly fitted pair.
