The pair in this listing is a well made and lovely an example of this indispensable classic model, the Black Suede Derby. Built on Green’s stream-lined 88 last, the nail pattern of the heel and the finishing of the channeled and skived sole remind one of a their earlier production, while the full leather lining suggest a more modern shoe. The quality of the suede is immediately apparent and bespeaks of luxury. The elongated, but not exaggerated, front is most flattering to the foot, without calling undue attention to itself. All in all, a very successful and pleasing version of this traditional model.

A very fine example, all original, lightly worn. As usual, suede is difficult to photograph so I have used several settings to show more detail. But be assured, no matter what comes up on your display; these shoes are a lovely intense BLACK!
