    Kow Hoo Shoe Company was established in Shanghai in 1928 but relocated to Hong Kong in 1946. They are the oldest custom shoemaker still in operation in Hong Kong. They use everything from German calfskin to  the more exotic skins up to and including, alligator and or crocodile. The firm’s director, John Lau, oversees a team of four shoemakers ranging in age from late 60s to 95. The operation takes place in an old industrial building of the city, difficult to find but well know by their clients, among the city’s most prominent businessmen. The starting price at Kow Hoo is HK$12,000 (US$1,550).

    Shoe Condition:

    All original, modestly worn. Some scuffs and polish staind that should respond to a good polishhing.
