The current firm is no doubt the finest shoemaker in Spain, owned and operated for 140 years by one family and today producing ready-made shoe of the best quality. This pair dates from the 1980s, from the firm’s heyday as a „bespoke“ (or custom) shoemaker and is indeed hand-custom-made, most likely by the master Mateo Pujadas, the son of the founder Matías, using the finest and rarest of skins from which shoes can be made, skins unobtainable today.
Custom made Alligator shoes of the quality of these shoes run in the thousands.

As with all my exotic leather shoes from Florsheim, Allen Edmonds, Footjoy and other American shoemakers, all materials either pre-date any restrictions or have been approved by the US Dept. of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife. I have spoken with and have that specific assurance from representatives of each firm.

Die derzeitige Firma ist zweifellos Spanien’s beste Schuhmacher-Werkstatt. In Familienbesitz seit 140 Jahren, liefert sie Anfertigungen allererster Qualität und Güte. Dieses Paar stammt aus den 80ern, aus den goldenen Massanfertigungs-Tagen der Schuhmacherkunst und ist, in der Tat, eine Massanfertigung. Höchstwahrscheinlich wurde sie vom Meister Mateo Pujades, dem Sohn des Gründers Matias, selbst gefertigt. Alligatoren-Schuhe dieser Qualität können bis in die Tausende gehen -ich habe erst kürzlich ein Paar Damen-Alligatoren-Stiefeletten in einem Polo-Shop in New York gesehen: für sage und schreibe 4000 Dollar UND sie waren nicht einmal custom-made, kamen aus Italien, waren geklebt und nicht einmal von Hand rahmengenäht! Ich denke es ist fair diese absolut fabelhaften und seltensten, luxuriösen und ausnehmend eleganten Schuhe als unbezahlbar zu beschreiben.

Zustand: Obwohl die Schuhe nahezu 30 Jahre alt sind, sind sie in ausgezeichnetem, nahezu neuem, Zustand. Sie zeigen fast keinerlei Gebrauchsspuren und am Allerwichtigsten: das Leder ist weich und biegsam und wie neu.

Ich habe mit Vertretern den jeweiligen Schuhfirmen gesprochen, die mir dies bestätigt und versichert haben.
