This venerable firm, well know in all the world today for the wide range of shoes they produce in under their own name and for several top designer brands, has also produced high quality boots and shoes on government contract since WWII and for years thereafter. This boot is made to military specification, including channeled and skived (closed) Goodyear welted sole (as in the best custom work) and stacked heel, and is the authentic British Army George Boot, introduced in 1952 to replace the Wellington Boot, traditionally worn as a formal mess, dress and parade boot. This is the original military spurred model with the heel fixture to take the requisit spurs. With its higher-set eyelets and rearward set quarters the authentic military George Boot should not be confused with the less robust civilian models or the similar but lower cut laced or buckled Chukka boots.
The overall effect of the George Boot’s cut and lacing, the uninterrupted sweep of the vamp, the disappearance of the lacing under trousers, is one of sleekness and elegance and as highly recommended for business wear (preferably without spurs) as it is for jeans.

A modestly worn pair with new sole protectors added and new heels, neither appearing to have been worn more than once or twice. Sold without trees.

Seit dem 2. Weltkrieg produzierte diese altehrbare Firma hochwertige Stiefel und Schuhe als Vertragspartner der Regierung. Heute produziert Crockett & Jones eine ganze Reihe von Schuhen für den zivilen Gebrauch, nicht alle in der hier gezeigten Qualität. Dieser Stiefel wurde für militärische Zwecke hergestellt und ist der authentische “British Army George Boot”, der 1952 als Nachfolger des “Wellington Boot”, vorgestellt wurde und der traditionell bei formellen Anlässen getragen wurde: mess, dress, parade. Der Orginal-Sporen-Stiefel – bitte beachten Sie die Vorrichtung am Absatz zur Anbringung der Sporen – mit den höher gesetzten Ösen und den zurückzeigenden “Quarters” sollte nicht mit den weit weniger robusten modernen Kopien verwechselt werden, und ebenfalls nicht mit dem ähnlichen, etwas tiefer geschnittenen “Chukka-Boot”.
Durch den speziellen Schnitt und Schnürung, durch den nicht unterbrochenen Schwung des Vamp und, durch das Verschwinden der Schnürung unter der Hose, ist der “George Boot” eine äusserst schlanke und elegante Erscheinung und ebenfalls als Business-Schuh-Stiefel hervorragend geeignet (bevorzugt natürlich ohne Sporen). Auch zur Jeans zeigt er sich von seiner besten Seite! Die leicht erntfernbaren Sporen werden mitgeliefert. Goodyear welted.
