This lovely Full Brogue Monk by Church’s is Goodyear welted, of course, and their “Custom Grade”, the old and great Church’s, the line of shoes upon which their reputation is based. About the model: do not look for it today. This is at least 20 years old, a very Sloan Ranger full wing tip brogue not seen often today. Veddy sporting.

The name, Bramley, I am told by Church’s, is taken from the ancient village by that name in Surrey, in the South East, where evidence of the Iron Age is found. Documents record a village at the end of the Anglo Saxon era, about the 11th century.

Althought the model has been in continuous production even to this day, and once sold for for £395, Euro 550 and US$ 620, the current prices under the new Prada management have gone up an astonishing 40%-50% for the same product, now topping £600, Euro 755, and USD 880.  This is the last moment in history to get your beloved Church’s shoes at something less than even the old prices. Shoe Condition:

Excellent, with a brand new Swiss Brand protective, non-slip, thin rubber sole added over the original leather sole. This is easily replaced without disturbing the integrity of the shoes, as is the new, unused Vibram heel, when and if, in the far future, the need arises.
