    Evidently, Bally was still producing its shoes in Switzerland at the time this shoe was made  -most of it product today comes from Italy- and was a well know and well thought of brand in Europe and America, during most of the 20th century.

    About the model: the monk strap is purported to be the oldest surviving men’s shoe model, dating back to the Middle Ages, as named, a shoe worn by cloistered monks for their practicality.

    The rich chocolate brown of this pair promises to take on an ever warmer patina with repeated polishing. Goodyear welted, of course, with the addition of a thin protective Vibram rubber sole.

    Size Details:

    US 12D.…..UK 11E…..European 46D, for the medium width foot.

    Shoe Condition:

    The original Goodyear welted sole has been covered with a new, thin, non-slip Vibram protective rubber sole. The heels replaced with new Gloria full-rubber heels. Tops excellent, almost as new. Sold without trees.
