Since then they have been the leading golf shoe on the PGA tour, the # 1 selling golf shoe in England and the undisputed leader in the manufacture of Golf Shoes in the world. Our interest here is in FootJoy’s fine, hand-made, classic street shoes made a generation ago for their gentleman clients. These vintage and antique FootJoys represent the pinnacle of craftsmanship and luxury, and are highly prized by collectors and aficionado of fine shoes.
This black Alligator Tassel Loafer is among the finest and the rarest Loafers to be seen outside of a museum….and certainly among the most beautiful.
Every such shoe, even from the same maker, varies a little because of the small differences between the skins used. This pair is so lovely that I wonder if this is a “special order”. Footjoy is know to have filled orders for this or other models through their outlets. Once could select leather, colour and be fitted for size. Of course, stock or special order, that day is over now, now that the Brockton, Mass. plant is closed forever. Another example of the closing of an era of great American shoemaking.

US 10,5EEE....UK 9,5 WIDE.....Continental 44EEE, for the WIDE foot. Of course, the correct innersole can adjust this shoe to a less wide foot.mid-width foot.
Condition
Superb. Top show zero wear-like new. Bottoms restored with new leather so;es and non-slip rubber heels and hardly worn since. A magnificent pair.
