With its double Goodyear welted sole and heel armoured with a double row of hand-set nails and cleats, this shoe has the fit and finish that made Florsheim the first choice for most of a century. This particular pair is exceptional, in a worm medium-Tan Scotch Grain Calf, a shoe not made for over 25 years, is even rarer even than it cousin, the Full Brogues. Moreover a shoe of this build quality is a gift from the gods for a big or a heavy man or any gentleman who is long on his feet or hard on shoes. You will be wearing this pair long after you have walked out of several other pairs of less substantial shoes.

  A vendre, une paire de classiques gentilshommes, le Derby de l’ancienne grande marque américaine, Florsheim, leur “Imperial”. Ces chaussures ont été faites à la main dans leur atelier et peuvent concurrencer avec n’importe quelles chaussures américaines ou anglaises. Un seul coup d’oeil sur la semelle et leurs talons suffit pour faire évident l’énorme différence. Sans exagérez, nous avons devant nous un exemple de l’art de cordonnier le plus cultivé, une chaussure pour enchanter avec ces détailles raffinés. Avec « Goodyear Welt », cousue à la main, et doublure de cuir extra souple. Elle représente le summum d’une veille tradition en perdition.
