    The shoe in this listing is immediately recognizable as being in the traditional Austro-Hungarian style, with its emblematic tall and rounded toe box. It is a largely hand made shoe, made in Vass’s Hungarian atelier (some later ready-mades emanate from Rumanian contractors -but not this!), in a lovely Tan Calf with Channeled Double Sole, with full leather lining. The channeling and skiving (closure of the channel) are visible in the photograph of the sole.

    Size Details

    By my careful measurement using fixed-size lasts, I take this to be a Continental 42D, thus (US9D) (UK8E), correct for the mid-width foot.

    Shoe Condition

    Superb condition, showing trivial wear to tops or bottoms. Protective non-slip Vibram soles added, as well as high qulity rubber heels. Custom-fitted shoe trees are available but not included.
