    This truly vintage shoe is built over a steel shank and hand sewn into a closed channel; made to measure, of course. The “wholecut” shoe tests the shoemakers skill by requiring the molding a single piece of leather for the entire top over a last, in this case meeting a heel cap piece.. The effect of the wholecut in suede is delightful, a subdued yet entirely charming overall effect in an evening shoe.

    Size Details

    UK 7E….US 8D…..Continental 41D, for the medium width foot. As a custom made shoe there is no markingl, however my precise measurements determine the shoe size as noted.

    Condition

    Although easily 70 plus years old, these shoes are in surprisingly good condition aoart from some rubbing of the suede and imperfections and stiffening of the lining that should respond to being worn. Treat them as if they were new shoues needing to be broken in. Priced accordingly.
