Circa 1925This particualr pair of shoes is one of the great treasures of the period. The quality of the materials, the hand finishing, the fine grain and rich rosewood colour of the choice calfskin, the fine pinking of the borders, and finally the small waist and generous flaire of the spade sole make this a refined and dramatic statement which few shoes, even the best custom-made can equal. This shoe has my higest recommendation.
